Using Collaborative Design – Design charrettes and other ways to collectively probe for solutions and ways than can build flood resilience in our local communities

Background for this Forum:

• Recently the SEQWaterFutures charrette workshop explored principles, strategies and measures that can build resilience to future extreme water events in the Brisbane River Catchment.
• A similar approach was also used with the Rockhampton Regional Council, in October 2014, to explore how future redevelopment in the Rockhampton CBD could be best designed to adapt and protect the City from future flood events.
• So how effective is this process and what types of outcomes, next steps and insights do participants and stakeholders get from this process?
