Queensland active at Flood Management Australia Conference
Queenslanders participated across a range of activity at the annual FMA conference with Shoalhaven – City Council at Nowra, NSW in May and included:
- key note opening speaker – Prof Darryl Low Choy from Griffith University discussing “Improving Community Resilience through Community Led Planning”
- nine invited presentations – including Council initiatives from Ipswich, Toowoomba, Moreton Bay, Lockyer Valley, Gold Coast, Brisbane, SunWater and IGEM/QRA
- Flood Risk Management Project of the year from Moreton Bay Regional Council on its Regional Flood data Management Software – congratulations to Steve Rosso and Elissa McConaghy
On line conferences papers are now available. The 2017 National FMA conference will be in Newcastle.
