The Brisbane Climathon is a unique global event focused on driving local climate change action. If you love Brisbane and are interested in collaborating with new people, challenging your thinking and discovering innovative ideas, register by 23 October to secure your place.
What is the Brisbane Climathon?
Hosted by QUT, The Brisbane Climathon empowers ordinary people to develop ideas and have their say on how Brisbane can become more resilient to the impacts of climate change.
How will it work?
Students, academics and community members will work in teams to brainstorm ideas for a local climate change challenge. Participants will be guided by expert facilitators and guest speakers. In the afternoon, groups will present their solution to a judging panel and a prize will be awarded to the team with the most outstanding idea.
What is the prize?
The winning group will receive an exclusive lunch with thought leaders from industry, government and universities to discuss how their climate change solution can be put into action.
